Welcome to Tutoring By the C. I’m Gemma, a passionate educator and mother with a simple mission: to help every child thrive.

As a teacher, my greatest joy has always come from the “click” that magical moment a child understands a new concept, a barrier is unlocked, or their confidence suddenly soars.

My journey to creating this service was born from my experiences as both a teacher and a parent. After seeing the profound impact of the pandemic on children’s education and self-esteem, I knew I wanted to do more. A casual comment from a friend planted a seed, which grew into a passion I couldn’t ignore: creating a dedicated, nurturing space where I could do what I love most.
That is how “Tutoring By the C” was born.

My vision is to provide more than just tutoring. I offer a supportive, caring, and dedicated learning environment for children from Year 1 to Year 7. I believe in finding different ways to teach, in taking the time to unpick misconceptions, and in being each student’s biggest champion.

This is a place where it’s safe to make mistakes and where we build the confidence to succeed. This business is my leap of faith, built on something I am truly passionate about: helping your child find their own “click” and rediscover a love for learning.
